How do I enter the event?
We’re fundraising for Project Namibia at the 2012 City to Surf. Join us on the start line for a day of fun.
Getting registration right is important, so we’ve made it easy for you.
Step 1: go to the City to Surf website watch the video and get revved up.
Step 2: Hit enter now and read the info to decide your Start Group.
- SH1 (RED) previous qualifying time – Sub 75 min
- SH2 (GREEN) previous qualifying time 75.00 – 100 minutes
- BLUE – Is the first open group with no qualifying time required. People wishing to run the length of the course but have no prior race times are encouraged to enter into this group.
- YELLOW – The second open group. Encouraged for those wishing to run/jog the course.
- Back of the Pack (ORANGE) – Families, pushers and fun groups. This start group is for you.
Step 3: Hit enter now again to fill out your individual entry form.
Step 4: fill in your personal details and when asked Please select the charity that you support scroll up and select Bikes for Humanity – Sydney
Step 5: Now you’re signed up and ready to race.
How do I fundraise?
Ok now you are ready and registered to be part of the 2010 City to Surf Event. As a participant of this event you can also be a fundraising hero and create your own online fundraising page in support of a cause you care about.
Bikes for Humanity have partnered with Everyday Hero to provide online fundraising for any City2Surf participant who wishes to raise funds. In just minutes you can build and personalise your own online fundraising page. It is free and easy. Once you are happy with your page, you simply send your page URL link in an email to your work colleagues, friends and family, who can then donate online and leave you a message of support.
To create your own fundraising page as part of our team of fundraisers follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on www.everydayhero.com.au/team_bikes_for_humanity
Step 2: Click on the “Join this Team” button
Step 3: In the next screen type in the search field “Bikes”.
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “choose” so that Bikes for Humanity is your charity
Step 5: Fill in your details
Step 6: When asked for the password enter “ibike”
Step 7: Choose colours and fill in your first blog entry (making sure you add somewhere “Bikes for Humanity is working toward DGR status. However, for now your donations are not tax deductable”) and you’re done!
