On Saturday 31 March 2012 from 11am-3pm, Bikes for Humanity will be receiving bikes at the Lend Lease, Barangaroo South site in the Sydney CBD. Its on Hickson st, Millers Point. Here we’ve partnered with Lend Lease who generously provided storage containers, volunteers to assist packing, a great mural and much more. This is where we prepare, collect bikes and load them into a shipping container ready for Africa.

Meet us at the front gate and we’ll receive your (mountain) bike, prepare it and pack it, ready for shipping.
Drop your bike off between 11am and 3pm. Keep an eye out for the Bikes for Humanity Sydney sign near the gate.
Click here to get an idea of which bikes are best for African conditions.
For just $35, Bikes for Humanity can transport your old bike to a Namibian community, establish a sustainable bike shop, and even train local staff. So while it may be worthless to you, that dusty two-wheeler could have a magnificent future improving access to health care, education and empowering someone less fortunate. Sorry we are not currently able to take donations on the collection day, so think about making your donation here before, or after, you come.
This is our only collection point in Sydney. If you live far away, or can’t make it on the day, and you need to get rid of a perfectly good bike, consider giving to one of the other organisations in Sydney who collect and recycle second hand bikes.
